St. Louis managed just two hits in its 5-0 loss to the Mets on Thursday. It was the second time this season that the Cardinals have had two of fewer hits in a game (had one hit in 2-0 loss to the Indians, May 13); they played in no such games in 2014.

That is tied with Jordan Zimmermann for the second-longest active such streak from the start of any pitcher's career (Justin Verlander, 16; streak not broken by any relief appearances).
