American League Game Summary - Houston at Seattle

Seattle, WA (SportsNetwork.com) - Matt Dominguez and Marc Krauss both homered and Dallas Keuchel held Seattle to two runs in six innings as the Houston Astros took the opener of a three-game set from the Mariners, 7-2, on Monday.

Keuchel (2-1) allowed six hits and struck out eight to help Houston halt a seven-game slide. Alex Presley went 3-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored and Dexter Fowler stole two bags in the win.

Abraham Almonte drove in both runs and Stefen Romero had two hits in Seattle's seventh straight defeat. Felix Hernandez (3-1) went seven innings, allowing six runs -- two earned -- with a season-low four strikeouts in his first defeat of the season. The former Cy Young winner fanned at least eight batters in each of his first four starts.

Dominguez broke a scoreless tie in the top of the fifth with a two-run shot to left. Krauss struck out to start the frame but Presley singled before Dominguez smacked a 2-2 offering into the bullpen.

Almonte tied the score a half inning later when he plated Kyle Seager and Mike Zunino with an opposite field double down the first-base line.

Houston got to Hernandez in the top of the sixth thanks to an error by Seager at third base. Jose Altuve started the rally with a double and reached third on Seager's miscue. Jason Castro made it 3-2 with his sacrifice fly to center. After Fowler stole second, Krauss brought him home with a single to right. Presley then tripled in a run and Dominguez doubled in Presley for a 6-2 margin.

Krauss' solo shot in the eighth off Tom Wilhelmsen resulted in the final tally.
