It's hard to visualise Sergio Ramos featuring for any club other than Real Madrid. After all, he's spent the last 10 years of his career at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Nonetheless, the 29-year-old centre-back is reportedly looking to leave the Spanish capital.

According to the Guardian, Ramos met with Real Madrid's chief executive, Jose Angel Sanchez, at the Valdebebas training ground on Wednesday morning and communicated his intention to depart. He was then told the club would hear offers.

A report was published Sunday that claimed Manchester United had responded to Real Madrid's pursuit of David De Gea by expressing a desire to sign Ramos, whose buyout clause is valued at €180 million (£125 million), and who is apparently not at peace with president Florentino Perez.

Although United reportedly rejected Real Madrid's initial bid for De Gea, Real Madrid remain convinced that they'll land the 24-year-old shot-stopper, and have since sent representatives to the United Kingdom to request a price.

De Gea's likely move to Real Madrid is one of the predominant stories going into the summer transfer window, as he allegedly told his teammates he'll be joining his boyhood club.
