Mustafi: Ozil convinced me to join 'horny' Arsenal

Mesut Ozil keeps racking up the assists, even when he's not on the pitch.

Soon-to-be Arsenal defender Shkodran Mustafi, who is expected to finally complete his high-priced move to the Gunners in the coming days, admits that his compatriot played a key role in him to joining the club, citing its ambition as one of the major factors behind his move from Valencia.

"I have spoken with Mesut, he told me everything," Mustafi told Sky Sport News HD in Germany.

"It was all very positive and I was quickly convinced, because I find the club horny," he said, presumably referencing Arsenal's desire to compete for titles on multiple fronts.

The centre-back, who is expected to slot in alongside Laurent Koscielny in the wake of injuries to both Per Mertesacker and Gabriel Paulista, will reportedly become the third-most expensive defender of all-time, as various reports claim Arsenal will pay £35 million for his services.

His arrival will coincide with that of striker Lucas Perez, with the Spaniard set to join the north London club from Deportivo, and cap off manager Arsene Wenger's summer shopping.

Both men could feature in Arsenal's first match back from the international break, a Sept. 10 clash against Southampton.
