Report: Evra in advanced talks to move from Juventus to Marseille
Patrice Evra is edging closer to a move to his home country before the January transfer window closes.
The French defender is said to be in the advanced stages of negotiations to leave Juventus for Marseille, according to Mohamed Bouhafsi of RMC Sport.
Bouhafsi added that Marseille has taken poll position over Ligue 1 rival Lyon for Evra's signature on a contract that's expected to last 18 months.
Evra could reportedly announce his decision in the next 24 hours.
Earlier this month, the former Manchester United left-back was linked with a move back to England, with Crystal Palace emerging as a possible destination after Evra was allegedly told he could leave Juventus.
Palace, who signed Jeffrey Schlupp earlier this month, appears to have moved on to its backup plan, as the south London side nears a deal for Sunderland defender Patrick Van Aanholt
Evra, 35, has been part of a Juventus side that's won two Serie A titles and two Coppa Italia trophies since his arrival in 2014.
