Notorious bargain-hunter Arsene Wenger could be close to bringing a pair of Nigerian prospects to the Emirates.
Arsenal has reportedly beaten a host of European teams for the right to sign Nigerian Under-17 players Kelechi Nwakali and Samuel Chukwueze, sources tell ESPNFC.
The report adds that negotiations with Nwakali, 17, and Chukwueze, 16, are at an advanced stage and that the north London side is optimistic of completing the signings before the January transfer window closes.
While there's no word on what the pair might cost, it appears that Arsenal could see three new players, along with the impending transfer of Egypt international Mohamed Elneny, arrive for a combined cost under £10 million.

The pair of midfielders, who helped Nigeria win the FIFA U17 World Cup in Chile this past year, appear set choose Arsenal over Manchester City, who were reportedly the front-runner to sign Nwakali, and Bayern Munich.
