Jack Wilshere highlights Arsenal trio set to be sidelined until January

A trio of Arsenal players will have to wait until the new year before making their return from various injuries.

Jack Wilshere is the most notable of the group. The midfielder is attempting to recover from surgery on his leg in time for the second half of the Premier League season, manager Arsene Wenger confirmed Thursday.

The England international suffered a setback during his recovery process and went under the knife in September to repair the fractured fibula he sustained in August.

Meanwhile, Tomas Rosicky and Danny Welbeck will also have to wait until 2016 before they're ready to be included in Wenger's team.

Rosicky has yet to appear in a match since injuring his knee during the Czech Republic's European qualifying match against Iceland in June. The latest timetable for his return exceeds the estimate his agent gave in August that Rosicky would return in October.

Welbeck's knee injury will also see him miss over two months, as he predicted earlier in October.
