Costa sure looks ferocious, doesn't he?
The team's tagline, "If it's not blue, it will be," isn't just a message sent to the rest of the league - which features plenty of red-clad teams - it also speaks indirectly to the sentiments of Cardiff City's supporters, who endured agony as the team's eccentric owner, Vincent Tan, uprooted history and changed the team's historic blue shirts to red ones a few years back.
But, with a mind to Chelsea's declaration of a potential blue versus red war coming soon, Cardiff reverted back to blue last season anyway.
The line has been drawn in the sand: might we see Liverpool or Arsenal in navy or baby blue next season?
Probably not. But, Costa's war face might just scare a few other red teams into blue submission.
