Report: Chelsea preparing bid for Asmir Begovic

Stoke City are reportedly about to receive a phone call from Chelsea.
According to The Telegraph, Jose Mourinho is preparing a bid for Asmir Begovic as Chelsea have outlined the Bosnian 'keeper as their top choice to replace Petr Cech. The report also notes that any potential deal would need to include Begovic's approval, as he would obviously be unhappy spending the peak years of his career as Thibaut Courtois' understudy.
Chelsea will apparently approach Stoke after holding discussions with Cech over his future this week. Mourinho was allegedly overruled in his attempt to keep Cech at Stamford Bridge or only sell him overseas.
Only one year remains on Begovic's contract.
