Hull City, yet to make a single signing this summer, is reportedly turning to a player who made almost 250 appearances for Watford.
According to Sky Sports, Hull is in talks with Adrian Mariappa, who became a free agent in July after his three-year contract with Crystal Palace expired. The Jamaican defender joined the Eagles from Reading in 2013 but tallied only 49 appearances during his time at Selhurst Park.
Mariappa came through the ranks at Watford and made his debut for the Hornets in 2005, establishing himself as a key player in the club's defence until 2012, when he finally departed Vicarage Road.
He also represented Jamaica at the Copa America Centenario, playing every minute of the Reggae Boyz' underwhelming showing in which they lost all three group-stage fixtures and failed to score a single goal.
