Odds slashed for Giggs to be appointed Bolton boss
Manchester United assistant manager Ryan Giggs could end a 28-year association with the club to fulfill his managerial dream, prompting odds for the Welshman taking over Bolton Wanderers to be cut considerably.

New Red Devils' boss Jose Mourinho was believed to be keen on retaining the services of the United and Premier league all-time record appearance holder, albeit in a lesser role as the Portuguese sought to bring in trusted deputies Rui Faria and Silvino Louro to Old Trafford.
Sky Sports' Andy Burton understands that this wouldn't be enough for Giggs, with some reports suggesting he is irked at being overlooked for succeeding Louis van Gaal, and he is now looking to progress in his coaching career after three years in the technical area.
If his destination is Bolton, he would be dropping two tiers down the English football pyramid and joining a club that has been mired in financial ruin in recent years. But following the eventual takeover of Sports Shield Investments in March, a transaction fronted by former Trotters striker Dean Holdsworth, things have looked a little brighter in Horwich.
Giggs, 42, is expected to return from a holiday in Dubai this weekend, and Sky Sports understands that no talks have occurred between the former winger and his employer to clarify his status and future.
