Tottenham beats QPR 2-1 in London EPL derby

LONDON (AP) Queens Park Rangers' hopes of beating the English Premier League drop received a major blow as Harry Kane underlined his England credentials with a match-winning brace to give Tottenham a 2-1 victory on Saturday.

The attention of those at both ends of the league table were focused on Loftus Road, where the teams involved knew defeat could prove a defining moment in their season.

Kane proved the difference in a tense, entertaining London derby, scoring on both sides of halftime to take his tally to 26 goals in all competitions. The win moved Spurs within three points of the top four.
