Leader Chelsea grabs late winner against Everton

LONDON (AP) Chelsea grabbed a winner in the third minute of stoppage time against Everton on Saturday, with goalkeeper Tim Howard seemingly helping the ball into his own net as the Premier League leaders won 1-0.

From Frank Lampard's cross, Branislav Ivanovic appeared to slightly flick it down to John Terry. But it was unclear if Terry got a touch before Howard fumbled the save, although the Chelsea captain celebrated the goal.

Until that point, Howard had pulled off a succession of saves to repel Chelsea. There was a triple block on the hour to deny Eden Hazard, Samuel Eto'o and Branislav Ivanovic in quick succession.

But Chelsea will now end the weekend on top, going four points ahead of Arsenal ahead of its London rival hosting Sunderland later in the day.

Everton, with four points from five games, remains in sixth place.
