Atletico Madrid defender Juanfran was the unfortunate individual to miss his penalty kick in the Rojiblancos' 5-3 shootout loss to Real Madrid in Saturday's Champions League final, the Spaniard striking the post and allowing Cristiano Ronaldo to step up in his wake and deliver the title for Los Blancos.

After Ronaldo and his teammates wheeled away in celebration, a tearful Juanfran walked over to the Atletico supporters, seeming to seek their forgiveness for his wayward spot-kick.
