Report: Tiger-Cats agree to terms with Andy Fantuz

Andy Fantuz is returning to the Steel City for a fifth year.

The veteran wide receiver agreed to a new contract with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats on Tuesday, according to Drew Edwards of the Hamilton Spectator. Details of the deal have not been disclosed.

Fantuz spent the past four seasons with the Ticats, following a six-year stint with the Saskatchewan Roughriders.

He has seen his numbers steadily decline in recent years, but is still a reliable presence out wide. The 32-year-old hauled in 42 receptions for 432 yards and two touchdowns last year in an injury-plagued campaign.

The Chatham, Ont., native had a career-high 1,380 receiving yards in 2010 as a member of the Riders.

Hamilton also reportedly signed free-agent international linebacker Alex Hoffman-Ellis, who spent the past two seasons with the BC Lions.
