Hamilton jumped out to an early lead and never looked back, climbing into first place in the East Division after defeating Toronto 42-12 in Monday's Labour Day Classic.
Former Argos quarterback Zach Collaros stole the show for the Tiger-Cats and set a career high with 400 passing yards. He completed 26 passes for four touchdowns. Toronto quarterback Trevor Harris completed 24 passes for 211 yards, one score, and one interception.
The Tiger-Cats, who own the CFL's best overall offense, went to work early, taking a 27-1 lead into halftime. Toronto managed to scratch 12 points in the second half, but to no avail, as one of the league's best defenses stifled the Argonauts' offense.
The two teams will square off in a rematch Friday in Toronto.
