Welcome to the ninth installment of The 140, theScore's new CFL Power Rankings, where we break down each team in 140 characters or less. Because that's all the time you've got.

1. Calgary Stampeders, 12-2 (Last Week: 1)

A bye week doesn't change Calgary's position at the top of the league.

2. Edmonton Eskimos, 10-5 (Last Week: 3)

Edmonton can score in the air, on the ground and even on defense. The Eskimos are arguably the most complete team when healthy.

3. Montreal Alouettes, 6-8 (Last Week: 5)

Jonathan Crompton threw three touchdowns last week - a fitting performance on a night honoring former Alouettes quarterback Anthony Calvillo.

4. Hamilton Tiger-Cats, 6-8 (Last Week: 2)

Hamilton suffered a tough loss to Toronto, but the Tiger-Cats are still in control of their own destiny in a three-way tie atop the East.

5. Toronto Argonauts, 6-8 (Last Week: 6)

Never count out Ricky Ray and Chad Owens. A pair of nail-biting victories has Toronto back in the hunt for the East Division title.

6. Saskatchewan Roughriders, 9-6 (Last Week: 4)

Things are going from bad to worse for the Roughriders, mired in a three-game losing skid. Veteran Kerry Joseph could be under center very soon.

7. BC Lions, 8-7 (Last Week: 7)

The Lions are eyeing the crossover playoff spot, but they would be in a much better position if not for their disappointing 4-4 home record.

8. Winnipeg Blue Bombers, 6-9 (Last Week: 8)

No team wants to face a must-win game against Calgary, but that's where Winnipeg stands after six straight losses.

9. Ottawa Redblacks, 2-12 (Last Week: 9)

The victory over the Blue Bombers looks like an apparition after a blowout loss on the road. The Redblacks are 0-7 away from Ottawa.
