The 140: CFL Power Rankings - Week 16
Welcome to the eighth installment of "The 140," theScore's new CFL Power Rankings, where we break down each team in 140 characters or less. Because that's all the time you've got.
1. Calgary Stampeders, 12-2 (Last Week: 1)
The first team to clinch a playoff spot remains atop the rankings once again.
2. Hamilton Tiger-Cats, 6-7 (Last Week: 3)
The Tiger-Cats control their own destiny in the East after four straight victories.
3. Edmonton Eskimos, 9-5 (Last Week: 2)
The setback against the Argonauts was unfortunate, but Edmonton is still in a comfortable position.
4. Saskatchewan Roughriders, 9-5 (Last Week: 4)
Tino Sunseri put together a solid second half against the Stampeders, but the Roughriders have one win in four games since Darian Durant's injury.
5. Montreal Alouettes, 5-8 (Last Week: 5)
The Alouettes are benefiting from the relative stability Jonathan Crompton brings to the offense, which keeps their formidable defense fresh.
6. Toronto Argonauts, 5-8 (Last Week: 7)
The Argos produced 73 points in two games since the return of Chad Owens, who has three touchdowns in that span.
7. BC Lions, 7-7 (Last Week: 6)
The Lions were limited to 34 rushing yards without Andrew Harris or Stefan Logan, while Kevin Glenn has more interceptions (14) than touchdowns (13).
8. Winnipeg Blue Bombers, 6-8 (Last Week: 8)
A fifth straight loss was bad enough, but getting blown out by 22 points by the worst team in the league was borderline insulting.
9. Ottawa Redblacks, 2-11 (Last Week: 9)
The win over the Blue Bombers halted Ottawa's long losing skid, but the Redblacks need lots of help if they hope to make the playoffs.
