Toronto mayor John Tory forgets Argos in championship tweet
Toronto mayor John Tory gave a shoutout to all Toronto-based professional teams, saying he believes a wealth of championships are on the horizon.
Well, almost all the city's professional teams.
I'm confident the championships are coming! @MapleLeafs, @BlueJays, @Raptors, @torontofc @TorontoRockLax. https://t.co/fHqIcRn8YN

In a tweet linked to a Rolling Stone article by Mike Bohn examining Toronto as the next potential big sports market, Tory managed to mention every city-based team spanning five different sports, but failed to mention Toronto's Canadian Football League franchise, the Toronto Argonauts.
The omission is even stranger considering Tory served as CFL commissioner from 1996-2000, with the Argos winning back-to-back Grey Cup championships in 1996 and 1997.
The recent struggles of the franchise are well-known throughout the city, but with new management taking office, the mayor could have at least thrown a mention into the Twittersphere.
