Alaba expected to resume regular training ahead of Dortmund encounter
David Alaba is expected to join his teammates during Tuesday's training session as Bayern Munich gears up for its DFL Pokal semi-final encounter with Borussia Dortmund.
The Austria international was forced to take part in individual training Monday after leaving just 16 minutes into Bayern's 2-2 draw with Mainz over the weekend because of a knee injury.
After initially being considered a doubt to feature in Wednesday's match, Bayern revealed Alaba's recovery from a capsular strain in his left knee is "looking positive."
Meanwhile, Jerome Boateng and Javi Martinez will likely be available after overcoming their respective injuries in time to take part in Monday's training session with their teammates
Manager Carlo Ancelotti didn't risk the pair during Saturday's match, as Boateng nursed an adductor problem while Martinez was sidelined with a thigh knock.
Bayern will look to advance to its second consecutive DFB Pokal final and defend its title after beating Dortmund in last year's championship match.
