Just over five minutes into the second period of Monday's game against North America, Sergei Bobrovsky foiled a breakaway chance by Connor McDavid that could have made the game 2-0 North America.
The save turned out to be crucial to Russia's eventual 4-3 win, but to Bobrovsky, the save represented much more.
"That was the most important shot in my life," Bobrovsky remarked, according to Puck Daddy's Greg Wyshynski.

Russia's victory keeps them alive in the tournament, as they draw even with Sweden and North America atop Group B with one win apiece.
