Eden Hazard places Gervinho among most skilful players he's encountered
Eden Hazard has played with or against many skilful players during his glittering and trophy-laden career, but when asked to name them, one of his choices was somewhat peculiar.
Gervinho was more famed for his questionable hairstyle than his lush technical ability during his spell with Arsenal in the Premier League, but Hazard's mouth was agape at his abilities on show when they were teammates in France.
"I played with Gervinho at Lille, he had a lot of skill and he was very quick as well," the Belgian told Chelsea's website.
Hazard then picked out some compatriots as some of the most skilful he has encountered outside Chelsea.
"In the national team we have a lot of them: Yannick Carrasco, a young player at Atletico Madrid, (Napoli's) Dries Mertens, (Manchester City's) Kevin De Bruyne, (Everton's) Kevin Mirallas, they are all very good and like to show their skills in matches."
The 24-year-old also picked out a goal he scored against Marseille in 2011 as one of the finest pieces of skill that he's personally produced in a match:
