Julian Draxler closing in on Juventus deal, agent says
Schalke 04 midfielder Julian Draxler may be on his way to Juventus soon, with his agent saying the 21-year-old German is close to a deal worth €3.75-million per year (plus bonuses) with the Italian champions.
Juventus has reportedly reached an agreement with Draxler and is in the negotiating stages for a transfer fee.
"Now we are at the stage where only Schalke and Juventus have to talk and, after that, we will see what happens," Roger Wittmann, Draxler's agent, told Goal.com.
Juventus was given permission to speak with Draxler by Schalke earlier in the month. The young German star is currently contracted with the club until 2018 with a release clause of €45 million, but Juventus is reportedly looking to pay about €20 million less, while Schalke is looking at a figure close to €35 million.
