Report: Torino's Darmian set for medical at Manchester United

A medical could be the final step in securing Matteo Darmian's transfer from Torino to Manchester United.

The Italian international is expected to undergo an examination at the Premier League club Friday before becoming the team's second signing of the summer, Sky Sports Italia reports.

The transfer will reportedly cost United £13 million, and appears inevitable following Torino coach Giampiero Ventura's comments explaining that the funds from the transfer will be used to improve his squad.

Once complete, Darmian will become the second transfer behind forward Memphis Depay, who moved from PSV Eindhoven.
