AC Milan has dipped its toes in the summer transfer waters, luring a pair of veteran players with plenty of experience in Italy's top flight to the San Siro.

Gennaro Gattuso's lot announced Monday that it signed shot-stopper Pepe Reina from Napoli and Croatian international full-back Ivan Strinic from Sampdoria on free transfers. The two players spent three seasons together at the Stadio San Paolo.

Both players inked three-year deals with Milan.

Reina, 35, makes the switch following successful spells with Napoli, Bayern Munich, Liverpool, and Villarreal. The 2010 World Cup winner with Spain has won four domestic trophies during a 19-year professional career that started at Barcelona in 1999.

Impressing as part of Zlatko Dalic's quarter-finalist Croatia at the World Cup in Russia, Strinic, 30, joins I Rossoneri following a mercurial campaign with Sampdoria, where the Split-born left-back made 17 Serie A appearances.
