Report: Manchester United has approached Torino regarding Belotti
Manchester United has reached out to Italian outfit Torino to make evident its interest in Andrea Belotti, as Jose Mourinho looks to bolster his attacking ranks in the summer transfer window, Mark Ogden of ESPN FC reports.
United has supposedly made Atletico Madrid star Antoine Griezmann a top priority target but Mourinho is also considering the 23-year-old Italian striker Belotti, who has 27 goals in 34 matches for Torino this season.
Ogden reports that senior officials at United have discussed Belotti's contract situation with officials at Torino, with the striker's recently-signed deal until 2021 featuring a €100-million release clause should he make a move outside of Italy.
United's need for more options up top arose when Zlatan Ibrahimovic picked up a long-term knee injury, for which he has undergone successful surgery.
