NCAA president: Arizona will decide coach Sean Miller's fate

Kyle Terada-USA TODAY Sports

The onus will fall on Arizona to decide on a course of action with regards to head coach Sean Miller.

NCAA president Mark Emmert deferred responsibility when quizzed about the latest scandal to rock college basketball, which stems from an ongoing FBI investigation into improper benefits given to players.

"First and foremost, that's a decision the school has to make," Emmert told CBS, according to ESPN.

Miller was caught on an FBI wiretap discussing a $100,000 payment to ensure the recruitment of standout freshman Deandre Ayton. Whether Ayton can continue playing ahead of the NCAA tournament is also up to Arizona.

The team is already without sophomore guard Allonzo Trier, who was declared ineligible due to a failed PED test earlier this week.
