Arizona Diamondbacks third baseman Eugenio Suárez left Monday's game against the Detroit Tigers in the ninth inning after being hit by a 95.6-mph pitch on his hand.

The veteran slugger grimaced in pain when his hand was inspected by training staff.

Suárez underwent X-rays, which revealed no fractures, according to Evan Petzold of the Detroit Free Press.

D-Backs manager Torey Lovullo said Suárez is considered day-to-day for now, according to The Athletic's Cody Stavenhagen.

"Good thing right now is we did the X-ray, and it was negative," Suarez said, according to Stavenhagen.

"We got more tests to do tomorrow. Right now, it's painful, obviously. We'll see after tomorrow what else they're going to do. But right now, I'll do my best to try to be back soon."

Suárez is one of the top trade candidates ahead of the July 31 deadline. The 34-year-old leads the majors with 87 RBIs and is tied for fourth with 36 home runs.
