Report: Kings sign Laferriere to 3-year, $12.3M contract
The Los Angeles Kings are signing restricted free-agent forward Alex Laferriere to a three-year contract carrying an average annual value of $4.1 million, reports insider Frank Seravalli.
Laferriere was the Kings' most prominent player without a contract. His entry-level deal expired at the end of this past season, and he'll remain an RFA when his new pact is up in 2028.
The 23-year-old notched 19 goals and 22 assists in 77 games last campaign while averaging 16:32 of ice time. Laferriere added three assists in six playoff contests as Los Angeles lost to the Edmonton Oilers in the first round for the fourth consecutive year.
The Kings brought in Ken Holland as general manager after the elimination. His most notable moves in his first summer in charge include signing Corey Perry, Cody Ceci, and Brian Dumoulin.
