Devin Fitzgerald, the son of NFL legend Larry Fitzgerald, announced his commitment to Notre Dame on Saturday.

He was also considering UCLA, Stanford, and Clemson.

Fitzgerald is a three-star recruit from Arizona's Brophy Prep. The 6-foot-2, 195-pound wide receiver caught 52 passes for 720 yards and nine touchdowns in his junior year last fall.

He was considered ESPN's 71st-ranked wide receiver prospect in the 2026 class.

"I've developed into a better ballplayer and they really think I'm going to turn into a great player," Fitzgerald told ESPN's Eli Lederman. "I've known (Notre Dame wide receivers coach Mike Brown) since I was five years old. He's shown me that I can come in, step up, and play early. That's their plan with me."

Larry, who won the Biletnikoff Award in 2003 during his final college season at Pittsburgh, was drafted third overall by the Arizona Cardinals in 2004. He racked up 17,492 receiving yards during an illustrious 17-year NFL career, second most on the all-time list behind Jerry Rice.

"Having my dad there to help me throughout the recruiting process has been great," Devin said. "He knows what's important. You want to go somewhere you feel like you belong and where you fit in."

Notre Dame's 2026 recruiting class includes two other sons of former NFLers: wide receiver Kaydon Finley, and the son of Jermichael, and linebacker Thomas Davis Jr.
