When the moment is big, the Los Angeles Dodgers know they can count on Shohei Ohtani, and that is precisely what happened during Wednesday night's come-from-behind 6-5 victory over the Atlanta Braves on his bobblehead night.

"When he was coming up, and it's his bobblehead night - everyone knew," Dodgers starter Blake Snell said, according to MLB.com's Sonja Chen. "We knew. It's just what he does."

Ohtani hit a walk-off home run on the first pitch he saw from Braves closer Raisel Iglesias in the ninth to push the Dodgers' record to a perfect 8-0.

Ohtani's blast was the highlight of a contest that got off to a rough start for the Dodgers. Los Angeles fell behind 5-0 to the winless Braves thanks to erratic control from Snell and errors in the first and second innings by third baseman Max Muncy.

Muncy made up for his costly mistakes in the eighth when his two-run double knotted things up at five to set-up Ohtani's game-winner an inning later.

"I think the credit really goes to Max Muncy to be able to pull through and tie the game," Ohtani said through an interpreter after the win. "For me, coming into the inning, tied in that last at-bat, it just felt like we really had a good shot to win."

With the victory, the undefeated Dodgers are off to the best start by a defending World Series champion.

Meanwhile, the Braves are 0-7 after winning 89 games a season ago.
