Cejudo says he's not retiring despite UFC 298 loss

Henry Cejudo isn't retiring after all.

The former UFC two-division champion announced on Friday that he won't be ending his MMA career despite his previous statement that he'd retire if he lost to Merab Dvalishvili at UFC 298.

Cejudo lost by unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28) and wasn't interviewed in the Octagon after the bout.

He's already retired once before in his career, walking away from MMA in 2020 following his bantamweight title defense at UFC 249. However, he returned in 2023 to fight Aljamain Sterling, where he was defeated.

The 37-year-old is 0-2 since returning from his retirement.

Cejudo holds an MMA record of 20-4.
