Williams is ranked seventh on the ESPN 100 for 2020 and projected to be a top-five pick in next year's NBA draft, according to ESPN's Jonathan Givony.
The 6-foot-8 forward spent this past season at Sierra Canyon, where he played alongside fellow five-star recruit B.J. Boston, as well as with Bronny James and Zaire Wade.
Williams was a member of Team USA's gold medal-winning squad at last year's FIBA U19 World Cup and was named a McDonald's All-American in January.
Stanford edged out Pac-12 foes Arizona, USC, UCLA, and Oregon, as well as North Carolina for Williams' commitment. The program's 2020 recruiting class also includes four-star commit Noah Taitz.
The Cardinal posted a 20-12 overall record in 2019-20, which included a 9-9 mark in Pac-12 play.
