Major League Baseball indefinitely banned two women from major-league stadiums after they flashed their breasts at Houston Astros pitcher Gerrit Cole during Game 5 of the World Series on Sunday.

The live TV broadcast showed Julia Rose and Lauren Summer exposing their breasts behind home plate at Nationals Park during Ryan Zimmerman's seventh-inning at-bat. Cole immediately stepped off the mound, but it was unclear if he saw the women.

Rose and Summer shared photos of letters they received from MLB on their social media accounts.

An MLB spokesperson confirmed that the league had distributed letters to the women informing them of the indefinite bans, according to Scott Gleeson of USA TODAY. The letters to Rose and Summer said each woman "violated the fan code of conduct by exposing yourself ... in order to promote a business."

Rose is the founder of digital magazine Shagmag, and Summer is a brand executive for the same company.

On social media, the women said the stunt was intended to promote breast cancer awareness, according to Gleeson.
