Gary Woodland matches Augusta's front-9 scoring record with a 6-under 30

Gary Woodland is proving that it is indeed moving day at the 78th Masters.

After Friday produced a 5-over 77 including four-consecutive bogeys to close out his round, Woodland flirted with the cut-line at 10 strokes behind tournament leader, Bubba Watson.

But after just 30 front-nine strokes matched the lowest score ever posted at Augusta National, Woodland has vaulted the leaderboard and improved to 3-under for the tournament, remaining just four strokes off Watson's pace.

Woodland opened the round birdie-eagle, and snatched a share of the scoring record with consecutive birdies before reaching the turn.

A birdie on 10 moved Woodland into a second place tie with John Senden, leapfrogging Thomas Bjorn, Jonas Blixt, Jordan Spieth, and defending champion Adam Scott, who remain 3-under.
