Bolt jogs into 100m semifinals after toying with field

In the least surprising development of Rio 2016 thus far, Usain Bolt cruised to victory in his 100m heat on Saturday, the iconic Jamaican posting a time of 10.07 to easily reach the semifinals of the marquee track event.

Last out of the blocks, the two-time reigning Olympic champion jogged his way to the finish line, barely getting out of first gear; it didn't matter, of course.

His main threat in the event, American veteran Justin Gatlin, also cruised to victory in his preliminary heat, posting a time of 10.01 seconds.

Bolt, who is looking to capture an unprecedented triple-triple in Rio, will hit the track once again on Sunday in the semifinals - and, barring a spectacular surprise, the final later in the evening.
