Toronto Maple Leafs prospect Jeremy Bracco says that his decision to spurn Boston College to join the Kitchener Rangers of the Ontario Hockey League was a decision made strictly with his on-ice development in mind.

"My grades were good. But I wanted to really zero in on hockey," Bracco told Ryan Kennedy of The Hockey News. "It's nothing against the program; it was great to be there for the month and a half I spent there."

The slight winger, chosen 61st overall by Toronto in this year's draft, explained that he was also motivated by the prospects of joining a winning program capable of competing for junior hockey's ultimate prize.

"You look at (the Rangers) record, the players in the room and the coaching staff, there's the potential to win a championship and play for a Memorial Cup," Bracco said.

Bracco was held off the scoresheet in four of his five games at the collegiate level, but did manage three points in a game versus Colorado College.
