Capitals sign Ryan Stanton to 1-year, 2-way deal

The Washington Capitals have signed defenseman Ryan Stanton to a one-year, two-way contract.
Stanton appeared in 54 games for the Vancouver Canucks in 2014-15, registering 11 points. He ranked fourth on the Canucks in blocked shots (113) and hits (93).
The 26-year-old was claimed off waivers by the Canucks from the Chicago Blackhawks in 2013. Chicago signed Stanton as an undrafted free agent to a three-year entry-level contract in 2010.
