Steve Staios has found a new home, although he won't be traveling far.
The former NHL player, who appeared in 1,001 career games, has been named as the new president of the Hamilton Bulldogs of the OHL.
The announcement was made at a press conference Friday.
Staios was an assistant coach for the Toronto Maple Leafs under interim head coach Peter Horachek last season after first serving in a role as director of player development with the organization.
Scott Radley of the Hamilton Spectator first reported Staios would be named president of the franchise.
Meanwhile, Toronto announced Scott Pellerin will take over the director of player development role.
