The St. Louis Blues have named their starter in net for Thursday's contest against the Minnesota Wild.
Sorry Brian Elliott, the job belongs to Jake Allen, according to Jeremy Rutherford of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
The team was quiet about who would get the starting nod leading up to the series, but head coach Ken Hitchcock has finally made up his mind.
Allen posted a 22-7-4 record with a goals-against average of 2.28 in 37 games, while Elliott posted a similar 26-14-3 mark with a 2.26 GAA.
