The Buffalo Sabres will likely be without leading scorer Tyler Ennis on Saturday against the Colorado Avalanche.
Ennis left Thursday's overtime loss to the Arizona Coyotes with an upper-body injury and did not take part in Friday's optional practice.
Head coach Ted Nolan said Ennis will travel on the team's two-game road trip Saturday in Colorado and Monday in Arizona. Nolan hopes Ennis will be able to play Monday in a rematch with the Coyotes.
The top-line forward leads the Sabres with 19 goals and is second on the club with 23 assists. He leads the team with 42 points in 72 games.
Ennis scored a goal and added an assist in Thursday's defeat.
