VIDEO: Avalanche's Alex Tanguay moves into 8th in franchise goals
Jerome Miron / USA TODAY Sports
With a goal in the first period against the Calgary Flames Monday, Colorado Avalanche forward Alex Tanguay took over sole possession of eighth place on the Avalanche's all-time goals list.
Tanguay's marker gave him 161 as a member of the franchise, moving him past former Av and current St. Louis Blues forward Paul Stastny. The goal also ties Tanguay with Stastny for eighth overall in franchise points, with 458.
Karri Ramo got caught out of position going to make a save, leaving an easy tap-in for Tanguay.

It may not have been pretty, but he'll take it.
