Panthers' Luongo passes Belfour on all-time saves list

Florida Panthers goaltender Roberto Luongo passed a Hall of Famer in Saturday's 3-2 win over the Buffalo Sabres.

Luongo made 26 saves in the victory, moving into fourth on the NHL all-time saves list ahead of Ed Belfour. Luongo has 22,438 saves - four more than Belfour in 140 fewer appearances.

The 35-year-old netminder is 1,841 saves behind Curtis Joseph for third, while Martin Brodeur of the St. Louis Blues leads the way with 28,796.
