Report: Maple Leafs interested in retaining Mason Raymond
Tom Szczerbowski / USA TODAY Sports
The Toronto Maple Leafs' decision to pluck Mason Raymond late in free agency proved gainful, and it appears the club - along with the rest of the league - will be less tardy this time around.
The #leafs have spoken with Mason Raymond's agent in Philly. They are one of a number of teams to show interest during free agent window.

Raymond played a multitude of roles for the Maple Leafs last season, appearing in all 82 games and notching 19 goals and 45 points.
His speed, versatility, and an ability to chip in offensively will prevent the 28-year-old from waiting long, but he will likely have to keep proving himself on a yearly basis.
