Report: Avalanche shopping P.A. Parenteau
Chris Humphreys / USA TODAY Sports
P.A. Parenteau was an outcast during the Colorado Avalanche's revival under Patrick Roy and his continued inability to find the coach's good graces could spell an end to his tenure.

Parenteau was reportedly dangled at the trade deadline, but Avalanche brass failed to pull the trigger on a deal.
At $4 million over the next two seasons, Parenteau has the offensive capabilities to help a team under the right circumstances. He scored 67 points in 80 games with the New York Islanders in 2011-12, but was limited to just 76 points in two seasons with Colorado.
