Wild coach Mike Yeo inching towards hot seat
Minnesota Wild head coach Mike Yeo turned heads when his oft-streaky club found themselves in last year's playoffs. But those same heads are turning away from the Wild as the club, significantly better on paper, sputters through the 2013-14 season.
And now the blame is being placed on him.
Chad Graff of TwinCities.com is putting the Wild's five-game losing streak squarely on Yeo, who at 40-years-old, is the youngest in the NHL. Yeo may be on this upcoming road trip, but Graff says it may be his last:
"Yeo is running out of time to fix the team's ever-growing list of problems.
"The Wild have three games remaining on a four-game homestand, which continues Tuesday night against the St. Louis Blues at the Xcel Energy Center. If they don't find a way to end the losing, Yeo might not make it to the next road trip."
