Kyle Quincey has found a new NHL home.
The veteran defenseman agreed to a one-year, $1.25-million contract with the New Jersey Devils, the club announced Wednesday.
Quincey recorded 11 points in 47 games for the Detroit Red Wings last season.
The 31-year-old's previous deal carried a cap hit of $4.25 million.
He was drafted by the Red Wings in 2003 and spent parts of three seasons with Detroit, then returned for parts of five more after stints with the Los Angeles Kings and Colorado Avalanche.
