New England Patriots wide receiver Danny Amendola took a significant hit to his wallet Friday.
Amendola received a fine for the helmet-to-helmet shot he laid on Kansas City Chiefs cornerback Jamell Fleming during their division-round win, but will appeal the sanction, he told reporters Friday.
The 30-year-old's fine is $23,152, the league confirmed, which is the normal amount for a hit on a defenseless player.
