Adam Jones will apologize only if Antonio Brown misses game vs. Broncos
Cincinnati Bengals cornerback Adam Jones continues to go on the offensive toward Pittsburgh Steelers superstar wide receiver Antonio Brown, long after the conclusion of Saturday's game.
Jones suggested Monday that Brown was faking a concussion after suffering an illegal hit from Bengals linebacker Vontaze Burfict. Burfict was suspended for three games, while Brown remains under concussion protocol.
Pittsburgh defeated Cincinnati 18-16 in a thriller, and advanced to play the Denver Broncos.
The combative Bengals cornerback said he'll apologize to Brown only if he cannot play Sunday against the Broncos.
"I will (apologize), if he don't play," Jones said in an excerpt of an upcoming "Inside the NFL" interview. "But you know and I know that when Saturday gets here, all that will go out the window ... He will be cleared Friday, I promise you."
Jones is clearly motivated by the undertone of what's quickly becoming among the NFL's most contentious rivalries. Regardless, it seems nearly impossible to fake a concussion.
