Report: Bears' Saunders suspended 10 games for violating substance abuse policy
Bradley Leeb / US PRESSWIRE
Chicago Bears practice squad wide receiver Jalen Saunders has been suspended 10 games for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
Saunders was initially suspended four games for an undisclosed reason Nov. 10, but that punishment now appears to have been extended.
A fourth-round pick of the New York Jets in 2014, Saunders spent time with a number of different teams before joining Chicago's practice squad early this season.
He appeared in 15 games as a rookie last season, contributing primarily as return man on special teams.
